Service learning activities are a valuable teaching methodology and a critical component in all my courses. The photographs and student projects come from various courses and additional student involvements. These include: taking 46 students to Mississippi on a Tourism Cares Gulf Coast clean-up (9 attractions); conducting mystery shopping with Mackinaw City/Island businesses; developing excursion tours for a professional conference, and writing leisure and tourism agency marketing plans.
